I actually have a feeling sick adore it much more when he’s older and we will have real conversations. I so look ahead to sitting at the kitchen desk and chatting or laying on the sofa and studying our personal separate books, together. I totally agree with you – I at present have a 1.5 yr previous and she or he is a delight! However, I even have to disagree concerning the speaking back and arguing – she is a willful tornado and there’s PLENTY of talking back and arguing!
I love seeing the humans they are turning into, they usually each crack me up daily. Oh, the tantrums and the tantrums and the facility wrestle to become an unbiased to call a few. But I do love watching my son develop and discover his world with such wonder and amazement in his eyes.

I thought I was bizarre or a nasty mother since I’m not a big fan of the newborn/toddler stage. With my second, I was DYING to get through the baby stage (throw in some child blues for fun). He’s almost 18 months now and I’m enjoying him so much extra now. My daughter is four and I LOVE IT for all the explanations you wrote about. I have a 10.5 month old child boy; he’s busy, lively, pleased and quite unbiased – I do like this stage but I love the newborn / 0-6 months stage sooo rather more.
His love of books I am very happy with and my coronary heart swoons when he uses his imagination whereas we are playing and spending time collectively. I may do without the occasional biting and hitting but they say that may cross.
I love that I can say we’re not going to do x as a result of y and so they’re like yeah ok yeah that is smart and so they don’t. I love how toddlers are such a whirling mess with such a joy for life however man they’re exhausting and the crying and whining actually will get to me. My son is 20 months now and things have recently started getting actually enjoyable. He’s nonetheless a handful and preserving him occupied can be tiring, particularly in quarantine.
I LOVE the stage when they sleep via the night, however are still babies and you can take them wherever and they’re happy in your lap taking part in with a spoon. I luuuuuurve infants, but I suppose I’m getting significantly better at youngsters, now that I actually have one and can soon have two.
I suppose it’s due to all the snuggles and cuddles that you could have with a newborn – my little man just isn’t a lot of a snuggler now, he’s too busy desirous to get on with the next thing haha. They’re the proper mixture of still needing you but also very independent. To me they’re on the excellent stage of life, nonetheless harmless however the days of infinite whining and crying are over.
